The Months Supply Inventory Is Beginning To Increase In Atlanta Metro Area

After significant declines throughout 2009, Feb. 2010 has seen a slight increase in months supply of inventory for metro Atlanta. In Feb, months supply increased from 9.1 to 9.2 months according to Smartnumbers, an Atlanta company that provides Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers with months supply data.

This was due to the fact that Feb. saw rising inventory numbers across the board. This is indicative of the season as homeowners begin to put their homes on the market to prepare for the warmer months of spring.

The closing numbers stayed relatively static, which is a good sign. Sales associates need to continue to market the home buyer tax credit and low interest rates while there is still time.

At 11:30PM on March 13th, the total number of homes on the market in the Atlanta metro area is 67,493.

If you would like to take advantage of low competition and get your home on the market, please let me know. Likewise if you have your sights on purchasing a home in the near future, please call me. I look forward to assisting you throughout the buying and selling process when the time is right for you. I can be reached at anytime at 770-399-8108!
