Yup. I can smell the fresh cut grass already! It's that time of year again when all the big-name golf pros descend on Atlanta, this time, out at The Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, GA. The AAC is a private club and extensive facility in Johns Creek which is an Atlanta suburb located about 23 miles north of the city. It's quite a place and if you've never had the opportunity to attend a PGA event at the club, you'll want to check it out this weekend. The last major golf championship of the season started today out at AAC. The last time the PGA Championship was played here in 2001, David Toms was the winner.
Atlanta has some great neighborhoods and Johns Creek is steeped with great golf course neighborhoods. If you are considering a move to the south and you would like to be in close proximity to a PGA golf course, you might want to visit neighborhoods such as Country Club of the South or St Ives Country Club (both located in John's Creek).
