DIY Outdoor Project For This Weekend

Hey...if you're wondering what to do this weekend, you might want to consider aerating your lawn. This is the time of year to do it. Core Aeration is the process of mechanically removing "cores" or "plugs" of soil from a lawn or turf area. This process allows many things to happen: 1. It allows the lawn to "breathe" 2. It Helps absorption of water and nutrients 3. It Allows roots to expand and grow deeper 4. It provides for a thicker and greener lawn next spring There are plenty of Landscaping Companies that will be happy to do this for you for a nominal charge OR if you love DIY projects, and you love to be outside during these beautiful days, this might be a project for you. You'll need to rent an Aeration machine at one of the hardware stores and they'll be happy to instruct you on how to do this. It doesn't take long and you'll love your grass next spring if you take this maintenance advice this fall. Have a great weekend and get out and enjoy this fabulous weather!
