I was reading the Acworth Patch today, the online magazine/newspaper devoted to news and the latest happenings in the city of Acworth. 

Evidently the world’s top professional wake-boarders descended on Lake Acworth last month to open the 22nd season of the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour. 

The event was televised at 3:30 p.m. yesterday  on the NBC Sports Network, according to a post on the Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department's Facebook page.  Pretty exciting stuff!  And, to think Lake Acworth isn't even a "natural lake", it's man made and still hosting an international event of this caliber.  Very cool!   Congratulations Acworth!
