Woodstock, GA is a Great Place to Call "Home"!
I live in Woodstock. Actually, I built my current home in Woodstock in 1998. I signed on the dotted line, picked my lot and decided on the model home I wanted to biuld just one week prior to my birthday in April 1998. The house was pretty much completed by July and I closed on the property and moved in on August 5th, 1998.
I still LOVE my home in Woodstock! It's centrally located to everything. That's huge for me! I know it's still the "right house" for me because every time I return home after a day of showing houses, I still love driving into my driveway. Even more, I love to take a late night walk. Before I leave the house, I turn on all my exterior lights. As I return, I love to see the house lite up in all it's splendor. I sometimes stand out in the street for a long time -- just admiring my gleaming home. I have never grown tired of looking at my house and admiring it from all angels. And, with all the houses that I visit every day, every week, every month during the year, I have never once been tempted to purchase any other home! That's how I know that mine is the perfect one for me! Likewise, I love helping potential home buyer's find their "ideal" home too! The one that fits their lifestyle and offers the amenities and features they want in their new home!
I'm pretty fond of the city of Woodstock too! Atlanta has lots of great areas, neighborhoods and cities, however, I continue to be very impressed with Woodstock. It's very centrally located making it a simple commute to almost anywhere in the Atlanta metro area. Additionally, Woodstock has received a lot of press in recent years and recently for it's excellent award-winniing school system, location, community amenities, downtown area and more.
As one of the fastest growing cities in Cherokee County as well as the state of Georgia, Woodstock boasts an array of modern luxuries with a dose of Southern Charm. Historic Olde Town includes 25 locally-owned shops, complete with plenty of vintage treasures for you to discover. The addition and opening of The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in July features designers like Michael Kors, Brooks Brothers, Talbots, Cole Haan and Nike.
Enjoy time on the water at Lake Allatoona or head over to Dixie Speedway for demolition derbies. While five city parks host plenty of outdoor fun, a non-profit organization, Greenprints Alliance, is working to develop a 60-mile network of multi-use trails and green space for even more active living in Woodstock.
If you are an arts lover, head to Elm Street Cultural Art Village to check out performances, seminars and exhibits year-round.
Eat In Woodstock. Experience the best in new Southern cuisine and local craft beers at Magnolia Thomas Restaurant. For a classy afternoon, Tea Leaves and Thyme is a traditional English tearoom offering more than 70 varieties of specialty loose-leaf tea. Century House Tavern is a century-old house serving up modern food and cocktails sure to delight your taste buds. Vingenzo's Pasta and Pizzeria is a local treasure with hand-crafted Neapolitan cuisine complete with house-made mozzarella and gelato that is truly out of this world!
